    Department Information
    Following an organizational alignment in 2022, Georgia Tech established the Division of Lifetime Learning aligning the Center for 21st Century Universities (C21U), the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC), and Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE). The newly established Division of Lifetime Learning will provide education and research for new techniques, and technologies for education. The division provides accessible, affordable, achievable education for learners at any stage of life. The newly established division is part of the expansion of Georgia Tech's ecosystem for lifetime learning. Furthermore, the division is going through a formal process of faculty and university system governance to become Georgia Tech's seventh college.

    HR Director II Position

    We are seeking an HR Director II to serve as the primary strategic Human Resources leader supporting the leadership of the Division of Lifetime Learning. The key deliverables for the role are HR strategy and leadership. This critical leadership role requires a strategic, skilled communicator who is organized, innovative and a highly collaborative professional who excels in a dynamic environment. The HR Director II will lead a team of HR professionals to serve as a key driver in shaping and executing HR strategies that align with the evolving organizational structure of the new Division of Lifetime Learning. The HR Director II will work closely with the Division of Lifetime Learning leadership team, institute faculty affairs and Georgia Tech Human Resources to develop and implement strategies that align with the division's goals while ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems, policies, and processes for workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management and development, employee engagement, legal compliance and recordkeeping, employee relations and total rewards (compensation and benefits). The HR Director II will utilize data to make informed decisions that will enhance the student and employee experience to progress the organization forward. The position reports to the Dean of the Division of Lifetime Learning.


    Job Summary
    Manage and coordinate human resources services and programs within a college or organizational unit of major size in terms of number of employees and organizational mix. Serve as primary contact within the unit on matters related human resources issues. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: college deans or research executives and lab directors, administrators and college/unit employees; Institute level and human resources management and staff. This position will advise and counsel: college deans and administrators, Institute level human resources management and staff. This position will supervise: human resources staff personnel.

    Responsibilities
    Job Duty 1 -
    Oversee and coordinate human resources related activity within the college to include employment, employee relations, compensation/benefits, etc.

    Job Duty 2 -
    Confer with and advise administration, faculty and staff regarding human resources policy, procedures and practices.

    Job Duty 3 -
    Communicate new policies or changes in existing policy throughout organization.

    Job Duty 4 -
    Serve as representative to Institute level human resources organization including serving on committees and providing policy input.

    Job Duty 5 -
    Coordinate the investigation and resolution of human resources related issues.

    Job Duty 6 -
    Provide input to college's or unit's strategic planning efforts with regard to human resources.

    Job Duty 7 -
    Organize college or unit's human resources support function, assign and monitor staff activity.

    Job Duty 8 -
    Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications
    Educational Requirements
    Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Required Experience
    Six to eight years of job related experience

    Preferred Qualifications
    Preferred Skills:

    Fluent in the use of MS Office applications and the ability to manage, organize, present, interpret data for leadership and its employees.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    SKILLS
    This job requires a working knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, especially as to application within multi-school college or large organizationally complex unit. This includes skills in verbal and written communications, organization and supervision, customer service and planning. Use of office and specialized computer applications and database systems is required.

    Anticipated annual salary $93,863.00 to $127,655.00 commensurate with qualifications
