    Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patients and develops a plan of treatment intended to decrease limitations from injury or disease and to maximize independent living skills to the extent possible for discharge to the least restrictive environment.
  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:In-depth knowledge of human growth and development, human anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and occupational theoryKnowledge of and ability to apply appropriate occupational therapy techniquesKnowledge of disease processes and injuries which impair occupational performance while considering ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic influences on an individualDemonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork and problem-solving to achieve goalsDemonstrated skills in verbal communication and listeningDemonstrated skills in providing excellent service to customersAbility to recognize the importance of the involvement of patients and family in plan of care ENVIRONMENTAL/ JOB CONDITIONS:Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals or Substances and/or Infection: Risk of exposure to infectious disease during all patient contacts Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens: Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens during all patient contacts Personal Protective Equipment Required: Exposure to bloodborne pathogens that requires use of personal protective equipment such as gloves, gowns, masks, etc.
