    Description

    The Lebanon Valley College Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, 3-year renewable, non-tenure track assistant professor of nursing faculty position.

    Faculty provide classroom, clinical/laboratory and simulation instruction for students including the coordination, preparation, and presentation of course materials and the evaluation of student progress.

    Integral aspects of the position include implementation of the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through classroom, clinical teaching, and service to the college, health system and community.

    Primary responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate nursing program with a focus on psychiatric/mental health and core course content for the nursing curriculum, student advisement, and service engagement to the Department, College, and community.

    Minimum qualifications include at least one graduate degree in Nursing with significant teaching experience; a doctoral degree in Nursing, Education or a related healthcare field is preferred, a minimum of two years recent direct care clinical nursing experience, competence in clinical area of teaching responsibilities, prior record of excellence in teaching; preferably in pre-licensure nursing education, a commitment to the assessment of learning outcomes, and a current, unencumbered Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
