Description
As a business developer you are responsible for generating new client business for landscape maintenance, snow removal and exterior services through prospecting, networking and referrals. You will also be expected to generate new accounts through the Property and Facility Management industry by prospecting, networking, and cold calling. The Business Developer may also assist in marketing efforts when needed- i.e. trade shows and social media. The Business Developer position requires someone to be a Hunter, highly organized, driven, and motivated to WIN
Responsibility
Responsible for driving sales and the relationship development functions.
Prospect profitable commercial landscape and snow removal opportunities.
Build strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and new clients.
Produce timely proposals using in-house estimating software.
Review specifications and contract documentation for each project.
Report to sales team on budget vs actual sales and projections.
Requirements
Prior experience with a record of success in a sales environment. History of $1M + sales cycles
Superb professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to maintain reporting on a weekly basis and attend an in-person sales meeting weekly
Must be highly motivated and have excellent time management skills.
Outstanding telephone, presentation, time management, and computer skills
Landscape Experience a plus, but not required
