Description

Boson AI builds Large AI models for interaction and entertainment. As Director of Finance at Boson AI your role is to keep things running smoothly. You are the go-to person owning HR, Finance, Compliance and Recruiting. In your role you manage all things related to taxes, reports to the board, investments, and multi-country accounting. At your side are external accountants, comptrollers and auditors to keep the company on a level financial footing.

You are also the person to advise leadership on human resources and oversee recruiting.

In your role you will review compensation plans, strategic hires and address HR issues, ranging from immigration and visa to compliance.

You work and liaise with immigrations specialists and you are in charge of the HR Information System. Lastly, you manage recruiting efforts and a local office manager to keep Boson AI running smoothly.

Boson AI is a startup, so it's an opportunity (and a need) to wear more hats than one. If you're a nerd and love computers, it's a plus.

Experience And Education

Bachelor's degree or better in Business Management, Finance, or related discipline. You need to have a proven track record in at least finance, accounting, HR, legal or a related discipline. If you don't, this job is not for you
Independent problem solver and willing to expand your skill set (this is a startup, after all)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Some legal background knowledge a plus
Good technical skills (operating and configuring SaaS applications) are desirable.

Responsibilities

Establish business processes if they haven't already been set up yet
Accounting and bookkeeping, working with external support as needed
Local site operations (rent, utilities, local service providers)
Human resources liaison (taking advantage of an HR as a service product)
Payroll, taxes, compliance and reporting
Investor relations
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and projects (e.g. colo / hardware builds)

Compensation will depend on your level of seniority. Compensation includes cash and an equity component.
