Job summary
This position will be responsible for monitoring the Hanford Local Area Network (HLAN) Information System and services including but are not limited to core network infrastructure authentication services servers storage Internet Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and other HLAN resources infrastructure facilities faults service interruptions performance degradation analysis of application systems that have been designated as critical Essential Support activities necessary to maintain the safeguards security of special nuclear/radiological materials at DOE sites facilities Critical evaluation configuration management commercial alternative Uninterrupted Power Supply UPS alerts using Network Management applications including environmental monitoring Data Centers telecom nodes critical infrastructure Analyze troubleshoot network servers application issues resolve Service Level Agreements SLA maintaining high availability critical infrastructure Infrastructure analysis proactive management networks platforms application meet Service Level Agreements SLA ensure high uptime availability systems Responsible tracking communicating documenting posting accurate network incidents outage information failures detected post updates new information available Analysis documenting testing triaging network server incidents working closely Subject Matter Experts SME communicating outage details Senior Management Team Support Disaster Recovery Continuity Operations DR COOP exercises testing live incidents policies procedures Identify IT Infrastructure systems problems diagnose document resolution details Perform Production Control job batch processing duties Control-M Application identify system failures test modify design jobs resolve issues Respond scheduled urgent production impacting incidents collaborate technical teams Network Engineers Cyber Security Software Engineers Safety Resources after-hours emergency support groups customers Provide first line defense Cyber Security threats Author Technical Reports outage incidents Evaluate new solutions research collaboration determine course action technical initiatives Responsible incident escalation coordination resources resolve issues timely manner meet Service Level Agreement metrics Maintain security integrity controls Prepare written technical documentation training material standards reports Evaluate recommend procurements Windows Appliance hardware software Perform other duties appropriate assignedJob description
