    Electrical Engineer
    Location : ONSITE / Orlando, Florida 32817
    Length : 6+ months Contract
    Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

    • Designs and develops electrical systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, harness designs, component selection/integration, and power distribution to support simulation systems
    • Performs electrical load calculations for power distribution, and voltage drop analysis
    • Conducts detailed electronics analysis and simulation to ensure robustness and performance of designs
    • Conducts testing, debugging, and validation of electrical systems to ensure performance and reliability
    • Develops and implements firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems used in designs
    • Collaborates with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate electronic components into complete simulation systems
    • Performs design evaluations on engineering solutions considering DFM/DFA
    • Aids engineering team in drafting/documentation activities
    • Develops Bill of Materials and spare parts lists, component documentation and assembly, service, and operator manuals
    • Specifies commercial components, materials, coatings, and other relevant design specifications
    • Works with engineering team on design, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR processes
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives and provide innovative solutions
    • Provides technical guidance to peers and mentorship to intern engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team
    • Assists in building and validation of prototypes
    • Provides technical support during the manufacturing and production stages
    • Conducts risk assessments and participates in design reviews to identify and mitigate potential issues
    • Prepares and presents designs at various design reviews
    • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts
    • Occasionally visits customer/subcontractor sites for design meetings, installations, retrofits, or other activities
    • Maintains sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements
    Experience & Qualifications
    • Proficiency in circuit design, PCB layout, and schematic capture software
    • AutoCAD Electrical and Eagle/Fusion360/EasyEDA experience preferred
    • Experience with microcontroller programming and firmware development
    • Knowledge of analog and digital signal processing, control systems, and sensor integration
    • Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet
    • Hands-on experience with hardware testing and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers)
    • Experience in design of high-quality electronics designs that fit schedule and budget parameters
    • Experience with simulation hardware or related industries is a plus
    • Familiarity with basic hand tools and assembly
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality designs
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
