Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Field Operations Mechanical Technician Supervisor operates and maintains water wells booster pump stations sewer pump stations reclaimed water potable water storage tanks control valves pressure reducing valves equipment appurtenances Maintains operational repair records same Performs daily operation maintenance components water wastewater pump stations including valves controls air compressors pumps motors standby generator equipment performs major minor repairs same Installs operates maintains repairs all pump control systems ultra sonic level controllers float switches submersible transducers conductivity level sensors bubbler tube systems Variable Frequency Drives VFDs Programmable Logic Controllers PLCs Performs journeyman rehabilitation fabrication construction overhaul sewer water pump stations related facilities Installs maintains collects data flow meters Installs cathodic protection systems Installs adjusts PRVs Maintains Fallen Leaf Lake electrical stations generators air release valves Installs odor scrubbers air strippers Inspects cleans maintains repairs tank Operates arsenic treatment system removal arsenic comply Department Health Services Standards Takes readings gauges meters charts records results operations logbooks Ensures compliance Department Health Services regulations adding sodium hypochlorite potable water disinfection samples residuals required Flushes dead end mains according Department Health Services Adjusts infrastructure unforeseen circumstances Moves heavy equipment devices hoist cranes forklift dollies means Uses self contained breathing apparatus safely properly California safety laws Adheres stated safety policies procedures
