    Description

    Amblin Partners, a leading entertainment company located in Universal City, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who will have oversight of the Accounting Operations.

    To be considered, candidates must have 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting.

    Duties and oversight will include but may not be limited to:

    Managing the company's financial accounts and transactions.

    Including processing, review and reporting of:
    o Accounts Payable -Transactions processing, review, and payments

    o Accounts Receivable - Billing, collections, and cash application

    o Fixed asset monitoring and depreciation and reporting

    o Prepaid tracking and monthly expense adjustments

    o Journal entry processing, review, and controls.

    o Bank reconciliations and review.

    o Development payments, tracking and Union payroll.

    o Production Activity record and reconcile report monthly activity to sub-system.

    Processing and reviewing the company's transactions for accuracy to ensure proper internal controls and segregation of duty.

    Performing the company's financial review and preparation of monthly supplemental schedules and reports including:

    o Cash receipts by Distributor and Title

    o Deferred Revenue - tracking and revenue recognition.

    o Assist with annual audit and tax schedules.

    Following proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.

    Monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data.

    Creating financial reports based on data analysis.

    Administering the company's Great Plains Financial Accounting System including maintenance of:

    o The Chart of Accounts

    o Picture Master

    o Reporting Periods

    o Fixed Assets module

    Special projects as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or other relevant experience that demonstrates quantitative orientation.
    • 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting
    • Knowledge of entertainment accounting required and Great Plains accounting software a plus.
    • Strong Excel skills
