- Maintain throughput to standard of 90% or better.
- Perform and maintain all required operator QC checks.
- Operate equipment according to local and machine manufacturer standards.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goal.
- Responsible for all aspects of product quality and finish.
- Perform other operator functions and machine checks as assigned.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal in English.
- Skills in teamwork and communication including problem solving and flexibility.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose.
- Ability to prioritize and organize.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
- Six months of related production based experience preferred

Packaging Operator - Boardman Packaging Center
The Role
Oversees all functions of the line from tote staging to the final package. Operating machinery such as (or similar to) baggers, sealers, auto packers. Experience with directing co-workers on the job. Experience with supervising groups of up to 8 on a packaging line. Knowledge, understanding and ability to troubleshoot machines, reporting repair or upkeep needs to maintenance team as needed.
