    Job Title: Direct Support Professional/Driver/AMAP

    Reports to: Shift Supervisor/Assistant Manager

    Location: Bronx, NY

    Brief Job Description:

    DBIS is a not-for-profit agency serving individuals with developmental disabilities in the Bronx and Yonkers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement Individual Service Plans
    • Understand individual needs and advocate for their rights
    • Support individuals to establish functional independence
    • Document progress towards Residential Service Plan goals
    • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)

    Requirements:

    • 1-2 years experience in Human or Health services field (preferred but not required)
    • Prior experience working in a residential group home setting (preferred)
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with people
    • Excellent analytical ability and organizational skills
    • Flexibility, poise, tact, and ability to develop rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
