- Assist to assure maintenance of adequate inventory levels of Jets store; estimate sales levels; determine and order needed supplies to maintain inventory levels; plan, coordinate and conduct annual physical inventories for the bookstore.
- Communicate effectively both within the Jets Store team and with customers to maintain a positive, professional, culture, in the Jets Store that promotes team and best in class customer service.
- Assist the Jets Store Manager with set up, with maintenance and communication of the adoption process to faculty and vendors.
- Confer with administrators, faculty, and students to answer questions and concerns and to assure proper textbooks and or digital books, and supplies are available for students and staff when needed.
- Propose and update policies and procedures and necessary changes to the Jets Store operations; present or submit proposed changes to policies and procedures to administration for approval as required.
- Evaluate and determine the need for addition or deletion of items to be stocked in the Jets Store; maintain current knowledge of changes and trends in the bookstore/retail market; research and evaluate market trends and needs.
- Participate in the proper receipt, marking, display, stocking, or storage of merchandise.
- Account for daily monies received and accounts receivable using proper College guidelines and procedures.
- Implement guidelines and direct the repurchase of resale of used textbooks; negotiate and direct the return of textbooks; and supplies to vendors.
- Prepare School dude work orders for needed repairs and maintenance of the bookstore facility.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including a Point-of-Sale system, calculator, computer, VeriFone and copier.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for understanding, supporting and actively demonstrating the College's beliefs, values, mission and vision and being in agreement to be evaluated by same.
- Minimum of one year of sales and/or marketing experience
- Experience reconciling financial transactions.
- Experience working with computers. Computer skills include data entry and financial reconciliation.
