Description
**Amentum** is seeking an **Electrician-Journeyman** join our team in **Washington, DC** and support our government customer As an Electrician-Journeyman, you will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities. **Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.**
Responsibilities include the following:
+ Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems.
+ Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
+ Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.
+ Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus.
+ Utilize a thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
+ Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment, as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests.
+ Install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus.
+ Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
+ Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
+ Maintain part and tool inventories.
+ Directs other repair personnel, as assigned.
+ Must have a Journeyman Electrical License
+ Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.
+ A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.
+ High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required
+ **Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.**
+ **Active TS/SCI clearance**
