    St. Genevieve Parish is seeking an Assistant Principal of St. Genevieve Catholic School

    About the Position
    Position Summary
    The assistant principal respects Catholic values and aids faculty and students in Christian formation by

    exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the school. The assistant principal is a primary animator

    of the faith and, in close collaboration with the principal, is responsible for the spiritual and academic

    formation of the students and the everyday operations of the school. The assistant principal works

    closely with the faculty, staff, and parents to achieve a climate and educational program that foster high

    expectations of the individual as well as Catholic growth and formation within the school community. The

    assistant principal is appointed by the pastor with recommendation of the principal. The assistant principal

    reports directly to the principal.

    General Responsibilities

    Educational Leadership:


    • Support the Principal in the development and implementation of educational programs,
    curriculum, and instructional strategies that align with the school's mission and standards.


    • Assist in the supervision and evaluation of teaching staff, providing constructive feedback and
    support for professional growth.


    • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student engagement, respect, and
    a love for learning.

    Student Affairs and Discipline:


    • Work collaboratively with the principal to maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing school
    environment conducive to learning.


    • Implement and enforce school policies and procedures regarding student conduct, discipline,
    and attendance.


    • Develop and enforce school-wide discipline policies in accordance with Catholic values and
    educational best practices.


    • Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly, ensuring consistency and transparency in
    disciplinary actions.


    • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to address behavioral
    concerns and implement appropriate interventions.

    Parent and Community Engagement:


    • Cultivate strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders, fostering
    open communication and partnership in support of student success.

    Standardized Testing:


    • Analyze test data and collaborate with faculty to develop strategies for improving student
    performance and addressing areas of concern.

    Technology Integration:


    • Demonstrate proficiency in educational technology tools and platforms, leveraging them
    effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative functions.

    Student Activities and Events:


    • Coordinate and oversee extracurricular activities, clubs, and special events aimed at
    enhancing student engagement and building community spirit.


    • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to plan and execute school-wide assemblies,
    fundraisers, and service projects.


    • Provide guidance and support to student leaders and organizations, empowering them to
    make positive contributions to the school community.

    Administrative Support:


    • Assist in the development and management of allocating resources effectively to support
    academic programs and student needs.


    • Collaborate with the Principal and administrative team on school-wide initiatives, special
    projects, and strategic planning efforts.

    Communication and Information Dissemination:


    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure timely and transparent
    dissemination of vital information to staff, parents, and the wider school community.


    • Collaborate closely with the principal to coordinate regular staff meetings, professional
    development sessions, and parent forums to facilitate dialogue, address concerns, and solicit

    feedback on school-related matters.


    • Collaborate closely with the principal and administrative team to establish protocols for
    emergency communication and crisis management, ensuring that staff and parents are wellprepared

    and informed in case of emergencies or unforeseen events.


    • Work collaboratively with the administrative team to develop and implement a comprehensive
    communication plan that aligns with the school's strategic goals and enhances engagement

    with all stakeholders

    • The Assistant Principal is responsible for the spiritual and academic formation of the students and the
    everyday operations of the school in close collaboration and harmony with the principal


    • The Assistant Principal supervises the academic and religious programs of the school
    • The Assistant Principal respects Catholic values and aids faculty and students in Christian formation by
    exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the school


    • The Assistant Principal ensures that gospel values and Christian ethics are integrated into the
    curriculum, policies, and school life


    • The Assistant Principal works closely with the faculty, staff, and parents to achieve a climate and
    educational program that foster high expectations of the individual as well as Catholic growth and

    formation within the school community


    • The Assistant Principal provides positive, inspirational leadership with the ability to foster growth and a
    willingness for continued learning and leadership development


    • The Assistant Principal actively recruits qualified professionals who embrace the teachings of the
    Catholic Church


    • The Assistant Principal articulates the school's mission and vision, engaging the school community to
    ensure a school culture that embodies both


    • The Assistant Principal collaborates with the principal in preparation of annual budget
    Qualifications
    The candidate must be in full communion with the Church and meet the following minimum qualifications:


    • Masters' degree or above preferred
    • Valid Teaching Certificate preferred
    • Must be able to successfully complete Safe Environment Training
    • A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience and three years of administrative
    experience


    • Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who demonstrates commitment to and
    appreciation for the school's Catholic education, mission, and values


    • Demonstrated leadership abilities to recruit and retain highly qualified teachers and to encourage their
    professional and spiritual growth


    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
