    Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Negotiation and Contracting

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. This largely remote position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in negotiating and contracting for materials and services.

    Position Overview:We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement process for materials and services required for large capital projects involving the construction /. build out of new industrial / manufacturing facilities.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiation, contract management, and vendor relations. This role, which is primarily remote will require you be onsite in Wyoming typically one week out of the month.

    The role is pivotal in ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability in the procurement of goods and services critical to our operations.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for materials and services.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors.
    • Regularly assess vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual agreements.
    1. Negotiation and Contracting:
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
    • Collaborate with legal and other relevant departments to address contractual and legal issues.
    1. Cost Management:
    • Analyze market trends and conditions to optimize procurement strategies.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.
    1. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices in procurement and contribute to the development of procurement policies.
    1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and project management teams, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure alignment with overall business goals.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) with 7-9 years of Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist with a focus on negotiation and contracting.
    • Strong understanding of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
    • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience with procurement and buying for capital projects, mining, heavy industry.
    • Skills and expertise with vendor selection, vendor management, negotiation of contracts with vendors and likewise internal client managers and staff.
    • Prior experience with startups, and new builds and facilities.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • CPM or CPSM Certification desired
    • Integrated use of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and strong working knowledge of MS office
