    **Description**

    **Sr. Safety Manager - Electrical**

    **Summary:** Responsible for the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the electrical safety program. Will also provide training to current safety personnel on electrical safety standards. Collaborate with site supervision to execute additional company and jobsite safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance to all local, state, and federal regulations.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

    Delegates and oversees team throughout pre-job and pre-task safety planning.

    Develops site-specific safety policies and procedures based on each project or client specifications.

    In preparing for mobilization of job, responsible for the setup of local responders and medical facilities.

    Acts as main liaison between customers and jobsite contacts, including subcontractor safety representatives, government agencies (MSHA, OSHA, etc.).

    Responsible for site safety office and field planning and executing contractual obligations.

    Present project Safety program progress, challenges, and objectives to Corporate Safety and project stakeholders.

    Participates in project meetings to ensure all safety specific policies and issues are reviewed.

    Present safety and health information to the Corporate Safety team to ensure that the project safety program is being implemented effectively and required safety compliance has been documented.

    Manage compliance with applicable Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

    Orientate and train employees on safety and health requirements to ensure understanding and compliance with regulations and company policy.

    Plans for and oversees field activities and provides support to eliminate health and safety violations including monitoring subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment for all AZCO INC. employees on site.

    Ensures availability of and oversees appropriate use of safety equipment.

    Conducts daily walk throughs and coordinates with site supervisor to effectively carry out the site-specific safety plan.

    Obtains permits and monitors hot work, confined space entries, and lockout/tag out, and excavation.

    Investigates incidents; prepares appropriate report; and manages return to work policy or light duty activities.

    Execute work compensation plan under direction of Safety Director.

    Understands project scope of work and identifies potential hazards and makes changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents and illness.

    Interacts with craft supervision and labor directly to promote site safety and awareness.

    Coordination with subcontractors and general contractor onsite to plan tasks in a shared work area.

    Report and present work stoppage issues to the project management team and collaborate with the team to develop practices to prevent future work stoppage situations.

    Verify project subcontractors maintain all required safety records in an audit ready state and submit all documentation as required.

    Mentor and train Safety Coordinators and Safety Managers.

    Manage and delegate Safety Coordinator and Safety Manager workload.Provide feedback on performance, strengths and weaknesses.

    **Education and/or Experience:**

    Bachelors degree from a four- year college or university in Occupational Health & Environmental Safety or Safety Management; or seven or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    **Computer Skills:**

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer) and Bluebeam.

    **Travel Requirements:**

    Must be willing and able to travel approximately 40-50% of the time and travel to undetermined sites.

    **Other Qualifications:**

    Knowledge of CFR 1910 for general industry and CFR 1926 for construction.

    Must have knowledge of NEC and NFPA.

    CESCP certification preferred.

    Familiarity with Zero Injury techniques of Construction Industry Institute.

    CHST Certification or greater desired.
