- Manage the performance of the machining team by performing daily huddles, one on one meetings, performance evaluations, positive recognition, coaching and following up on personnel issues.
- Investigate all non-conformances for root cause and establish lessons learned to prevent reoccurrence.
- Establish goals for production and coordinate a plan to meet these goals.
- Ensure that production stays on schedule, and that products are meeting quality standards.
- Ensure workers and equipment meet performance and safety requirements.
- Create and maintain staffing strategies to ensure requisitions are submitted and positions are justified based on business strategy and forecasted workload.
- Balance your time between office work and being physically present to assist with challenges that arise during the day.
- Daily review of Epicor ERP reports. Take necessary actions to address inefficiencies, transaction accuracy, and adherence to work schedule.
- Support and advance our culture of continuous improvement and help move suggestions from ideas to implementation.
- Effectively use technology tools to measure results of these actions and make adjustments based on data. Align improvements with a documented process and drive standardization of best practices.
- Collaborate with other Operational Leaders to identify meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and promote understanding within your team. It is critical to ensure transparency in expectations and that the team is driving toward continuous improvement.
- Effectively balance the day-to-day responsibilities of your position with expectations of all managers including review of safety incidents, demonstrating ROI for capital expenditures, developing training tools and partnering with HR in the staffing process.
- 5-7+ years of management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. Proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to write professionally.
- Highly proficient in the use of technology tools including MS Office Products and MRP/ERP systems such as Epicor.

Job DescriptionDynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a full-time Manufacturing Manager to oversee our machining, quality, and maintenance areas. This position offers the opportunity to balance your time between strategic leadership initiatives and tactical responsibilities while supervising a team of approximately twenty-two highly skilled employees. Previous experience in a custom manufacturing environment is required.

Typical Duties of a Manufacturing Manager
Qualifications for a Manufacturing Manager
A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Are you a collaborative leader with a solid understanding of custom manufacturing? Are you able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively? Are you highly organized? Are you able to effectively use technology and data to drive decisions? Do you have excellent communication skills including active listening and strong professional writing skills? If so, then you might just be perfect for this Manufacturing Manager opportunity
Flexible Work Schedule
The typical schedule would be Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility. This position typically requires hours a week in the office to be successful. Due to the hands-on nature of manufacturing routine remote work is not an option in this role.
