    Job Description

    CLINICAL SERVICES JOB DESCRIPTION Physician shall provide the following Clinical Services: 1. Monitors and provides care to patients; 2. Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury; 3. Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition; 4. Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition; 5. Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient; 6. Provides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions; 7. Evaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient's condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and/or making a possible referral to another member ofthe health care professional team; 8. Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at the practicing locations to ensure quality patient treatment; 9. Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate and within Physician's scope of practice and qualifications; 10. Completion of appropriate documentation of patient care services in accordance with applicable law and regulations and the System's policies and procedures governing patient medical records; 11. Completion of appropriate documentation to support professional billing for these clinical services in accordance with applicable law and regulations and System's policies and procedures; 12. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards including but not limited to maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information, in the performance of Physician's clinical duties; 13. Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff; 14. Plan, implement, or administer health programs in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention and treatment of injuries or illnesses; 15. Participate in various community outreach activities, as directed by System, including but not limited to Continuing Medical Education lectures and activities, health fairs, and other community-oriented activities; 16. Perform other reasonable clinical duties, as requested.

    Board Certified Neurologist
