    Location: Hybrid (Remote and On-Site) - must be able to travel to our office and recruiting events as needed. Must be local to MN.

    Position Overview:

    The Recruiter/HR Support Specialist will be instrumental in recruiting talented school bus drivers and transportation staff, while also providing comprehensive HR support to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations. This role requires a proactive and organized individual with a passion for both recruitment and human resources.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Recruitment:

    • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified school bus drivers and other transportation personnel.
    • Source candidates through job boards, social media, community events, and recruitment fairs.
    • Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule in-person interviews with hiring managers.
    • Organize and participate in job fairs, recruitment events, and open houses to engage potential candidates.
    • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate candidate information and status updates.
    • Perform background checks, reference checks, and verification of qualifications and credentials.
    • Provide an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.

    HR Support:

    • Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing onboarding materials, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
    • Respond to employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related issues, policies, and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Support the HR team in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee performance reviews.
    • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruitment and HR.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in recruitment and human resources, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
    • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR management software.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and HR.
    • Ability to travel as needed for recruitment events and on-site visits.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
