    Description

    In this role you will:


    The Patient Access Trainer is responsible for providing training, leadership and guidance to all areas of Patient Access to include Scheduling, Registration, Benefits and Authorization.

    They are responsible for maintaining all Patient Access training materials and assisting with creating and maintaining policies and procedures. Provides and maintains customer service training to the Patient Access Staff.

    Hybrid possibilities after probation but must me in office when deemed necessary.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Provides training to all new Patient Access representatives ensuring they have the skills they need to be successful in their new position.

    Ensures all new employees have been properly trained on scheduling, registration, benefits, authorization and customer service.
    Completes the Patient Access preceptorship form to ensure the representative is ready to transfer to their Patient Access position.
    Continued monitoring of new employees throughout their probationary period.

    Provides feedback to the office Supervisor/Manager regarding the new employee's progress to be utilized for their 30-, 60- and 90-day evaluations.

    Provides training to existing Patient Access representatives on new programs, system upgrades policies and procedures.
    Provides continuing education to staff members who require additional training.

    Works with Patient Access managers and supervisors to keep all Patient Access training manuals up to date including Patient Access policies and procedures.

    Provides leadership and guidance to the entire Patient Access team.
    Creates and conducts online training for new programs/policies or re-training of existing programs.
    Travels to other FOI locations to monitor Patient Access Functions and to train/retrain Patient Access representatives.
    Communicates any problems, issues, or concerns regarding training to the Patient Access Manager.
    Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
    All other duties as assigned


    About You:
    High School Diploma; Associate degree preferred. Experience may substitute for degree.
    Minimum of 2 years' experience in Patient Access services in a physician practice setting orhealthcare organization.
    Must be familiar with Patient Access practices including Scheduling, Registration, Benefits and Authorization in a Call Center environment. (Hybrid Remote Positions)
