    Its a 3 year project and there are 2 open positions. cost and location will likely be the defining factors on who is selected. Its a remote role, but the candidate needs to be local and able to go onsite in the event that something requires them to be there in person, so we are only considering local candidates. State experience and experience with court judicial systems are highly desired. PMP and Scrum certifications are also highly desired. 5 years of PM experience are mandatory.

    • Project Title:

    Key Personnel to provide Technical Project Management for projects supporting Trial Courts.
    • Summary of Work

    The Judicial Council seeks two (2) IT Project Managers to administer the Court IT projects and provide coordination functions needed with the various trial court, justice partner and vendor participants in the projects. These two positions will manage the project from initiation through implementation with the courts; tracking progress and assisting with required reporting and related project activities.
    • Designated Home Base:

    This position is a remote position and are onsite only when needed. The remote status of this position is subject to change if deemed necessary by the JCC.

    • Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance):
    • Over 5 years of experience managing multiple medium to large complex projects.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing project approach, plans and schedules.
    • Proven track record in leading, organizing, and coordinating multiple work activities simultaneously.
    • Proven track record in delivery of on-time, on-budget projects with a high degree of user satisfaction and quality.
    • Proven track record implementing varying principles and techniques of project management, including the ability to develop and track complex project plans, manage risks, manage scope, and manage resources.
    • Experience in managing project financials (budgeting, forecasting, tracking and reconciliation)
    • Proven track record of managing complex relationships among customers and stakeholders on projects which has significant executive oversight.

    Description Of Tasks And Responsibilities

    Provide project management and leadership for one or more California Courts IT Modernization Projects

    2

    Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to define and communicate the project vision, policies and procedures, and roadmap to support the achievement of project objectives

    Clearly define project goals, objectives, scope, and approach

    4

    Document project charters, project plans, communications plan, resource plans, and financial plans as needed

    5

    Define and document project deliverables

    6

    Develop and maintain detail project task schedule to track deliverable, key and milestone dates

    7

    Develop and document project cost and benefit analysis and estimates; estimate project needs for staff and consultants.

    8

    Identify and clarify roles and tasks of project teams; defining the structure and identify needed services or positions.

    9

    Manage scope, resources, schedule, financials and expectations; and report frequently to stakeholders and team members.

    10

    Manage cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver project scope and deliverables.

    Communicate project activities, performance, and status

    12

    Manage the solutions development lifecycle using one of the approved JCC project management methodologies.

    Provide leadership, direction, training and work review; organize and assign work, set priorities, and follow up to ensure coordination and completion of assigned work to project team members.
