    Job Title: Radiology Technician (Contract to Permanent)

    Location: Springfield, WA

    Contract Term: 13-weeks

    Reports to: OR Manager, Director of Nursing

    Work Schedule: No nights, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call requirement

    Job Overview: The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing fluoroscopy (C-arm) procedures in the operating room. This role involves participating in preoperative patient assessment, maintaining and documenting properly calibrated equipment, and keeping a log of all C-arm procedures.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Support the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Center.
    2. Perform according to approved policies and procedures.
    3. Contribute as a team member in support of the total perioperative process.
    4. Consider patient rights in the performance of job duties.
    5. Contribute to the approved QAPI Program and support risk management.
    6. Participate in programs directed to patient and staff safety.
    7. Contribute to the quality improvement process.
    8. Communicate effectively with supervisor/management, patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
    9. Maintain and promote professional competence through continuing education.
    10. Participate in committees and quality improvement activities.
    11. Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
    12. Report observed or suspected violations, hazards, and noncompliance.
    13. Respond to emergency situations with competence and composure.
    14. Interact appropriately with various age groups and provide age-specific care.
    15. Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduled procedures.
    16. Test and monitor equipment for proper working condition.
    17. Confirm proper shielding before activating C-arm.
    18. Apply prescribed procedures to perform radiology technician functions.
    19. Follow principles and aseptic technique during procedures.
    20. Perform required maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.
    21. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    22. Document records and other forms according to Center policy.
    23. Communicate patient status to others responsible for patient care.
    24. Comprehend and interpret verbal orders and direction.
    25. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

    Education, Experience, and Training:

    • Associates Degree in Applied Science (A.S) or equivalent from a two-year college and technical school.
    • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Two (2) years of radiology technician experience preferred.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    • A.A.R.T certification
    • BLS

    Computer Skills:

    • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

    Physical Demands:

    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Walk, sit, stand, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
