A leading Biotech company based in San Diego are actively hiring for a Communications Specialist to join their team. This role can be fully remote or hybrid in San Diego. This is an initial 6-month contract with opportunity to extend. Pay Rate $55-60/per hour depending on experience. This role is part time at 20hrs/ week. Hours are flexible, but seeking coverage most days during 8-12pm PT.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 4-6 years' relevant industry experience.
• Internal or change communication planning and execution.
• Communications professional and collaborative partner; comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels (specialist-level up through VP).

Responsibilities include:

• Counsel on communications plans for priority functional initiatives (i.e., major launches, industry partnerships, restructuring).
• Editing and/or design feedback on priority functional content development (LT-led) i.e., light copy editing and/or PPT design support for content intended for function-wide or companywide distribution.
• Reporting function-wide event metrics and key takeaways to be shared with LT.
• Provide guidance on sub-function newsletters, team meetings, Site-specific channels.
