    In Office Attendance in our Fort Lauderdale, FL officeUnder the direction of the Director of Sustainability and Special Projects (DSSP) and supported by the Vice President of Programs, the Grants Development & Compliance Coordinator demonstrates and reflects an understanding of and commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of OIC of South Florida.

    This individual serves as critical support to the Senior Leadership Team and Program Divisions, and is responsible for providing analysis, planning, pre- and post-award services, and oversight to ensure overall compliance with grant-specific requirements.

    The Grants Development & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for grant development, orientations, and sourcing grant opportunities.

    Under the guidance and direction of the DSSP and supported by the Vice President of Programs, the Grants Development & Compliance Coordinator works collaboratively with Division Directors, Program Managers, and Finance.

    This position ensures effective grant development, administration, and compliance by leading grant monitoring efforts, working with Program managers to develop well-researched proposals aligned with organizational priorities, tracking and record keeping of grant agreements and amendments, and providing support to ensure program fidelity.

    Role and Responsibilities Assists directors in effective stewardship and management of grant funding by tracking compliance with grant requirements, including reporting and applicable local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.

    Reviews, confirms, and ensures key staff maintain strong knowledge of all requirements outlined in contracts and Memorandum of Understanding documents involving grant-related activities.

    Oversees and coordinates all assigned grant development work, supporting and collaborating with various divisions and departments.

    Provides administration for the grants process throughout the entire grant life-cycle, including receiving, assessing, tracking, and documenting grant requirements and funder submissions.

    Works with program staff to obtain understanding of the necessity of following proper procedures in achieving project goals. Responsible for identifying funding opportunities, preparing funding applications, and securing all types of funding.

    Seeks additional funding sources (grant, individual, foundation) to support, expand, and develop new programming in alignment with the vision of the leadership team.

    Utilizes customer relationship management (CRM) or other specified software to document funder requirements, profiles, and engagements.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in the development and stewardship of grants, compliance, and working with funders.

    Excellent writing skills (writing sample required). Strong organizational, and process/ project management skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks. Superb time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with program design and evaluation, and grant development. Demonstrated success in leading grant, program, and/or organizational compliance efforts. Experience working with computerized software, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, or other similar programs. Knowledge of evaluation, data analysis, and web-based reporting systems is preferred.
