- Prepare hot and cold food items including raw fruits and vegetables, sauces, salads, baked goods, dehydrated foods, etc.
- Take daily inventories of food and smoothie lines using Prep Lists and Par Sheets and fulfill production needs with the ability to set priorities for tasks independently
- Execute on and complete daily checklists for open, close, and other miscellaneous tasks
- Comply with standard portion sizes, recipes, cooking methods, quality standards, policies, procedures and best practices
- Clean and sanitize of all kitchen equipment and surfaces according to policy
- Routinely take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers
- Place and receive orders; store food and other supplies
- Remove trash, recycling, compost and clean all containers
- Assist Team in kitchen and on the line with various tasks as needed, and provide any needed service items
- Carry food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas
- Use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and process foods
- Promptly inform Kitchen Leader when equipment is not working properly and report any anticipated shortages in inventory
- Attend all scheduled team meetings and actively engage to promote team work and excellence
- Coordinate with and assist fellow team members to meet guest's needs and support the operation of the restaurant

The Kitchen Prep position is similar to a traditional Prep Cook position. The Kitchen Prep's primary responsibility is to prepare hot and cold food items for daily service. The Kitchen Prep is also cross-trained and eager to respond to the needs of the team whether it is for line production or customer service. The Kitchen Prep reports to the Kitchen Leader (a.k.a. Head Chef) and House Leader (a.k.a. General Manager).
