    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Sr. Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the administrative function of the entire Housekeeping Team. Included with this leadership responsibility is assisting with new Team Member hiring (full time & part time), budgeting, payroll, purchasing of materials and supplies, scheduling, and training of new Team Members. Development and implementation of the total Arena Housekeeping as related to all servicing, cleaning, and maintaining for Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse arena. The work schedule for this role reflects the events hosted at RMFH (Cavs & Monsters games, concerts & special events) and will require a flexible work schedule with frequent nights and weekends.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the scheduling of the Housekeeping Team in the event presentation of Cavaliers games, Monsters games, Concerts and Special Events at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
  • Actively pursue, develop and maintain methods of improving the overall Guest experience at the Arena.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Team Member training to improve the work skills for all Team Members in all facets of care, cleaning and maintaining the Arena facilities and Arena equipment.
  • Assist in the purchasing and implementation of housekeeping materials, supplies and equipment testing.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of housekeeping staff (part time & full time) by regularly managing job postings and attending career fairs and hiring events with our Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Actively pursue and develop methods for improving service efficiency within RMFH Facility Operations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of established Labor Agreements and recommend any changes, additions, and amendments.
  • Work closely and coordinate work projects with the Senior Director of Housekeeping, Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping Manager, Event Services Management, and Facility Operations Team Leadership.
  • Actively oversee Housekeeping Team Member compliance for applicable safety requirements within RMFH.
  • Assist in the monitoring and controlling affected budget areas related to staffing costs, normal materials and supplies purchases, equipment replacements and new materials.
  • Supervises housekeeping team members. Sets job expectations and is accountable for results. Conducts personnel actions including hiring, salary changes and termination.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seeking 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a flexible work schedule and be open to working frequent nights, weekends and Holidays.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in administrative functions preferred (payroll, purchasing, scheduling, employee training, hiring, etc.)
  • Housekeeping experience and/or knowledge preferred, not required.
  • Facility operations experience for a sports arena or event venue preferred, not required.
  • Must be cooperative, courteous, patient, and tactful in all interactions with guests and others.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow directions and handle multiple functions simultaneously.
