Description
Position Summary . We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team.The analyst will be responsible for assessing new and emerging software development processes, creating and documenting business processes, and reporting status to customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assess new and emerging software development processes, including agile methodologies, to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
Create and document business processes, including process flows and user stories.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify pain points, and design solutions.
Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
Communicate project status and progress to customers and stakeholders through regular reports and presentations.
Participate in customer meetings and presentations as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
Experience with agile methodologies and software development processes preferred
Education:
BS Computer Science, Software Engineering or related areas
Project Management Professional certification, (PMP) - desired
Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) - desired
Experience:
(0-5 years-experience)
Managing agile sprints
Reporting
Quality assurance/acceptance testing
Experience in software source control, inter-process and network communication, and protocols such as HTTP
Experience with web APIs (i.e. REST APIs)
Experience with AI and Machine Learning
Experience with User Interface and Appealing Graphical Displays
Experience with Data Management and Data Mining Techniques
Experience with Amazon Web Services, Maintenance and Deployment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of software development cycle, object-oriented software design and development, inter-process and network communication
Excellent written communication skills along with strong organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
High-performance Java servlet-based web applications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and its applications
Languages:
, JavaScript, Java, Scala, XSLT, HTML, CSS
Infrastructure:
VirtualBox, AWS, Linux, Windows
Software and data stores:
Elasticsearch, MySQL, Apache web server, Alfresco Content Management System
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Extensive online usage. This is largely a sedentary role.
