    Description

    Vincennes University's Office of Admissions seeks a motivated individual with a unique blend of organizational, technical and interpersonal skills. This position will oversee the operational, technical, and processing functions in the Office of Admissions at Vincennes University, while managing both staff and on-campus projects.

    The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work autonomously on assigned projects and cooperatively in teams. He/She will also have outstanding communication and customer service skills along with the ability to connect with people across cultures. This is a professional staff, twelve-month position with benefits that may require occasional seasonal overnight travel and weekends. Preference will be given to individuals with a college admissions background.
    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Manage the Office of Admissions in the absence of the Director
    • Assist in the supervision of a recruitment staff team of six
    • Be the Office of Admissions content expert for the Slate CRM
    • Create documentation on the usage, processes, and implementation of Slate CRM for the Office of Admissions and academic areas
    • Serve as office liaison to the Office of Information Technology and the Office of the Registrar
    • Evaluate admissions documentation formulating decisions and processing appropriately
    • Participate in on-campus events; some Saturdays required
    • Maintain prospective student information in communications database
    • Maintain relationships with territory contacts and prospective students
    • Organize and facilitate special campus project(s) as assigned
    • Represent and promote the University at high schools, college fairs, career centers, and other events
    • Meet with prospective students and families to discuss benefits of attending VU, degree program counseling, the financial aid process, and admissions policies
    • Collaborate with other University departments to provide recruitment needs such as enrollment reports, student lists, campus event planning, etc.
    • May attend meetings or serve on committees with the admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings, customer service lead meetings, and undergraduate recruitment council meetings; may provide guidance to other admissions counselors
    • Other related duties as assigned
    Required and Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree, required. Master's, preferred.
    • Three years of admissions, higher education, sales, IT, or recruitment experience
    • Valid driver's license
    • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with the Slate CRM preferred
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and electronic office equipment
    • Proficiency in basic math
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to lift 25 pounds
    • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
