    First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced, collaborative and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Controller's Division team. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the preparation process for multiple annual reports in accordance with both US GAAP and/or regulatory reporting instructions as well as assisting in the preparation of the quarterly reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This position acts as a liaison between the External and Regulatory Reporting teams and involves working closely with business partners throughout the Bank as well as with the external auditors. Recurring work includes assisting with investor meeting presentations and completing variance analyses for senior executives.

    Work Schedule

    Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (hours may vary)

    Compensation

    The annual salary range for this role is $58,802 - $103,085/yr; commensurate with experience.

    The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or minimum 3 years of experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and other financial information required.
  • 3 years of experience in an accounting related field required.
  • Previous bank accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 with the ability to create complex Excel worksheets.
  • Ten-key proficiency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet multiple, competing priorities and adjust work hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build trust and handle confidential matters judiciously.
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy to create quality deliverables.
  • Proven successful collaborator among peers, management, external and regulatory reporting auditors.
  • Possesses sufficient experience to efficiently identify, interpret and implement accounting and regulatory changes.
