    Job Title: Clinical Nurse Coordinator Neuro Trauma

    Job Summary:
    The Neuro Trauma Specialty Unit is a high performing unit that exceeds quality measures. This department received HCA's 2022 Unit of Distinction award and placed 32nd out of all HCA facilities, which is in the top 3% of HCA. The Neuro Trauma patient population includes adults of all ages with a variety of neurologic and/or trauma conditions. This team works with patients who have suffered strokes, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and much more.

    Responsibilities:
    - Collaborate with the Director to provide leadership to our team and play a role in fiscal, human resource, and operational functions.
    - Actively participate in department and hospital strategic planning and effectively implement new programs and services.
    - Maintain an effective competency and staff development program.
    - Work on day-to-day operations such as processing payroll, managing department expenses, participating on hospital committees, processing employee evaluations, managing personnel issues.
    - Assist in maintaining a departmental staffing plan that meets the needs of the customer and is responsive to the changing census.
    - Ensure an appropriate skill mix and staffing levels in accordance with volume demands.
    - Create/foster a positive environment and lead by example and by holding staff accountable for their behaviors and attitudes (compassionate, professional, communicative).

    Qualifications:
    - Current Kansas Registered Nurse License or valid compact license.
    - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course - American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required.
    - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course.
    - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
    - Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred.
    - Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred.
    - Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
    - Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam within allotted time frame, as specified in policy.
