    What You Will Do:

    The Patient Registration Coordinator is responsible for greeting and registering patients, answering phones, collecting patient information, insurance details, completing medical record requests, and provides front office administrative support for the office.

    The Patient Registration Coordinator is the first person to greet the patients and will answer questions or provide general information.

    Scan insurance cards, picture identification, and prior medical records.
    Handle confidential information and patient medical records.
    Answer phone calls, take messages, and forward based on urgency.
    Mail patient information and education materials.
    Monitor incoming faxes and distribute them to appropriate staff/departments.
    Maintain lobby appearance, open the Care Center, and turn on equipment prior to opening.
    Ensure the building is locked and secured at close of business.
    Associates degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others, frequently required to sit at a desk, work on a computer, and spend prolonged periods preparing and analyzing data and figures.

    Employees are required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal; operation of standard office machines and equipment (computer, telephone, photocopier, and scanner).
