    Position Title: Information Systems Specialist

    DEPARTMENT: Information Systems

    REPORTS TO: Manager of Information Systems

    FLSA: Non-Exempt

    TERM: 12 Months

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Information Systems Specialist supports the computer and technology areas at CCDS. This person provides support for software and hardware along with classroom technology. The Information Systems Administrator position also focuses on the support of Microsoft O365 initiative, acting as a liaison for the department through interactions, support, development, and training for students, faculty, and special groups at CCDS.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting technology related software, hardware, and infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, computers, servers, PC tablets, iPads, monitors, printers, projectors, and smart boards.
    2. Assist with setup and installation of new computer systems, PC tablets, iPads, and peripherals.
    3. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and network issues. A focus on preventing repeat incidents is required.
    4. Set measurements and track responses for quality assurance standards with software, devices, and user experiences.
    5. Provide technology help and support for students, faculty, and staff.
    6. Meet regularly with Information Systems manager and other Information Systems personnel as required.
    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs similar job related duties as assigned.

    eDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
    1. Minimum two years of college or technical school.
    2. Experience with Microsoft O365 suite administration.
    3. Knowledge in Windows Domain Administration. This includes:
      1. Active Directory, GPO, DHCP and DNS
      2. Security patch testing and deployment
      3. Logon scripting and roaming profiles
      4. File and Print server administration
    4. Experience in an educational setting.
    5. Experience with PC/Tablet/Apple device management tools. (Microsoft or JAMF)
    6. Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
    7. Good project management skills
    8. Work well independently with minimal supervision.
    9. Experience with Teams, Zoom, JAMF, Google Drive, and Cloud Services.
    10. Physically fit and able to move computer systems and peripherals up to 35 pounds.
    11. Additional desired technical skills: Cisco routing & switches, Fortinet security, Microsoft Azure, Cloud Services, Veracross SIS
