    Job Summary

    Cheerfully and efficiently checks guests in and out of the hotel, processes all payments according to established hotel policies and procedures, provides information and exceptional customer service to guests and visitors, and runs end-of-day reports.

    Responsibilities

    • Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
    • Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room locations, and answer phones in a courteous manner.
    • Upsell rooms whenever possible to maximize revenue.
    • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions according to established procedures, including posting charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits, and counting/securing bank assignments.
    • Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
    • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management for additional monitoring or follow-up.
    • Respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
    • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
    • Brief knowledge of computers and software, including the ability to use email, word processing, spreadsheet software, and hotel management systems.
