The Product Engineering Department in Athens, Ga is seeking a self-motivated Engineer to work in the Reliability and Sustaining Engineering Team.
This team is tasked with Reliability and Factory Sustaining Projects for North America across the following product lines:Truck, Trailer, APU, GENSET, and Solara.
The role entails leading projects using the Engineering Qualification Process, Root Cause Identification & Corrective Action Process, and the internal Quality Review Board (QRB) Process.
Candidates will be the Engineering Lead for processing data responsible for project execution, factory support, and design changes.Additionally, seeking a candidate with skills in modal analysis and/or data analysis, including but not limited to Finite Element Analysis (FEA), modeling Statistical Analysis, (MatLab and/or Minitab), and IPM Model Analysis.
The Reliability Engineer will work with global, cross disciplinary teams to apply model based design, analytical verification tools and methods to lead product and component reliability projects for a full range of HVAC/R equipment and systems for transport applications.
Perform Engineering Qualification tasks on Corrective Action & Reliability ProjectsUtilize continuous product & process improvement principles to streamline project deliverables
Work closely with business personnel to obtain information/data needed for project execution
Develop and manage Project Schedules including Qualification Testing Timelines, QRB Deliverables, and Supplier Tasks
Prepare and present Project Updates to Engineering Team and Cross Functional Groups
Perform Data Analysis, Drawing/Model Review, Reliability & Cost Analysis using various tools
Bachelor's degree in engineering
~3+ years of project engineering
~10% travel required
Demonstrated use of lab instruments and data acquisition devices for analyzing and testing mechanical and electrical components (preferred skill)
Knowledge of refrigeration principles and systems a plus
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects/tasks on schedule
Demonstrated Project Management skills with managing multiple projects
Practical application of textbook knowledge required
Proficient with MS Office Suite; Proficient with CAD Tools
Proficient with Advanced Modeling and Data Analysis Tools
