About The Role
We're hiring a hands-on, execution-focused Temp Merchandiser to join our team on a fixed-term contract supporting critical in-season business, seasonal assortment execution, and PPO/PO workflow. This role primarily supports Women's and Youth, with occasional support for Men's and Accessories. You'll be the organized, detail-obsessed operator who keeps systems, decks, and workflows moving across teams.
- Type: 1099 contractor, hourly
- Term: March 2, 2026 – July 29, 2026 (fixed end date unless extended)
- Schedule / Availability: Mon–Wed, 9:00am–5:00pm (AZ time); occasional Thursday support with advance notice/approval
- Reports to: Senior Merchandiser (dotted line to Head of Product)
What You'll Be Responsible For
PPO Placement & PO Execution
- Execute seasonal PPOs in partnership with the Senior Merchant, Sales, and Ops
- Issue POs for:
- DTC
- Wholesale / Key Accounts
- Green Grass
- Photoshoot samples
- Track PO confirmations, pricing, and production timelines
- Partner with PD on final supplier pricing and cost alignment
- Ensure all POs are placed accurately, on time, and fully confirmed
Weekly Sales & In-Season Business
- Prepare and maintain weekly sales, sell-through, and margin reporting
- Highlight style-level risks and opportunities
- Prepare and support in-season markdown recommendations in partnership with Planning and Ops
- Track inventory exposure and chase/cancel needs (reporting-focused)
Seasonal Support & Cross-Functional Execution
- Work in close partnership with the Senior Merchant on seasonal assortment development
- Maintain SKU counts, line plans, and assortment tools
- Update and maintain style, color, and pricing accuracy in PLM (Centric)
- Seasonal fitting support
- Serve as a day-to-day product POC for:
- Design
- Product Development
- Sales
- Ops
- External vendors
GTM & Line Review Support
- Build and maintain GTM decks, line review decks, and adoption tools
- Ensure all product information is:
- Accurate
- Current
- Channel-specific
- Support key seasonal milestones including Line Reviews and Line Adoption
- Approve MSRPs on UPC labels for accuracy
Trend, Market & Hindsight
- Conduct competitive shopping and support market research initiatives
- Build seasonal hindsight and product performance recap decks
- Track newness vs core performance to inform future line builds
Qualifications
- 2+ years in Merchandising or Merchant Ops (apparel preferred)
- Experience with PPOs, POs, and in-season business
- Proficiency in PLM systems (Centric preferred)
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Experience supporting both DTC and Wholesale channels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines
