- Work across multiple functional areas when building desktop / laptop images.
- Test any major Windows Operating System releases with existing applications.
- Ensure systems are built and ready for deployment.
- Act as a support for desktop technicians when dealing with hardware problems.
- Design, implement, administer and maintain desktop and laptop images for all supported hardware models.
- Order necessary desktop hardware and maintain stock.
- Monitor equipment in the field and stock using the inventory system.
- Coordinate hardware repairs and disposal of obsolete equipment.
- Work as a technical resource for all infrastructure teams.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Respond to inquiries courteously and professionally.
- Adhere to Authority's policies and regulations including Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment policies.
- Perform assigned duties and projects.

The Desktop Engineer will report to the Manager of IT Systems.
The Desktop Engineer will work with the Server and Service Delivery teams on all aspects of desktop and laptop hardware, docking stations, connectivity, application testing, imaging, and inventory.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System, VMWare, Active Directory, PC Hardware and Wired and Wi-Fi connectivity.Duties & responsibilities:
