- Operates tractor and trailer, van trailers, dry bulk and liquid tank trailers as well as auxiliary equipment..
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions
- Knowledge and use practices that are consistent with company policies and procedures including applicable technical modules, SOPs, work instructions and safety policies and procedures.
- Checks equipment daily (pre and post use) to maintain efficient and safe operational status, reporting maintenance requirements immediately.
- Maintains various required driver logs, time and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Learn, apply and accurately update all applicable modules of Manager Plus (or other) maintenance tracking software
- Proactively manage safety issues and practice Take 5 process.
- Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event
- Perform continuous loading and unloaded duties ranging from pounds.
- Maintain a good driving record responding receptively to coaching and training.
- Operates within the Smith System with respect for the Smith5Keys
- Verifies products loaded for delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Class A CDL required
- Tanker, Air Brakes, HAZMAT endorsement required
- No preventable accidents in the past (3) years
- No more than (1) minor moving violation in the past (3) years while operating a personal vehicle of commercial motor vehicle
- No convictions for DUI, DWI last 10 years
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally
- Willingness to work early mornings and hour shifts
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- MSHA Training is preferable
