    Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
    Shift: Days / 6:30a-7p, 12x3, 36hrs per week, EOW
    Length: 13 weeks
    Call Requirement: 1-2 12hr shifts every 2 weeks
    Requirements:
    • Minimum 2 years' experience
    • Skills: Circulate
    • BLS
    • NBSTSA
    • Strong preference for Ortho Trauma/ Neuro experience preferred
    Other Details:
    • Unit accepts 1st time travelers
    • Locals Accepted
    • Unit Systems: PYXIS and EPIC
    • Support for inpatient units as needed
    • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
    • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
    REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Minimum Years of Experience: 2 YearsTraveler Experience: Unit accepts 1st time travelersLocals Accepted: YesSkills: Circulate.Certs: BCLS and NBSTSA

    JOB DETAILS:Ratios: 1:1Shift: 12hr DAYS No OT billed until after 40 hours. 13 weeks onlyCall Requirement: 1-2 12hr shifts every 2 weeksFloat Requirement: Support for inpatient units as neededWeekend Requirement: every other weekend
    Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
    PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Varies
    SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: New Hanover Regional Health System provides surgical services that support multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent surgical procedures. Procedures include Cardiothoracic, General, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, Endoscopy and, Organ harvesting
    SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:
    UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS and EPIC
    SCHEDULING TYPE: self scheduling but the manager determines the final schedule.
    UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours
    SCRUBS: provided by unit
