Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year of recent
CVICU or ICU RN experience required (2 years preferred)
Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand prior to start
Certifications required:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Cardiac and neuro critical care experience required (cardiac ICU / neuro ICU)
Epic charting experience preferred
Must live > 60 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
Responsibilities
Provide expert critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the
CVICU, including post-open heart and neuro-surgical care
Monitor and manage complex hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and advanced ICU therapies
Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips per protocol and respond rapidly to patient condition changes
Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment:
ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, cardiac output monitors, temporary pacers, Swan-Ganz catheters
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams:
physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and phlebotomy
Float to similar critical care units as needed while maintaining safe, effective patient care
Document accurately in Epic and adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols
Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations as required
