Remote but 50% travel

These new positions will be divided by category and geography - and include sourcing in best cost regions other than China and Taiwan for plastics, die casted aluminum, metals, and precision machined parts.

Requirements:

• A four-year degree - Engineering degree a plus
• A minimum of ten years Supplier Development and Procurement experience in an Automotive (OEM / Tier 1) or a high-tech manufacturing industry preferred. Client will also consider sourcing experience of similar parts if {machined metal parts, plastic parts, electronics, and small handheld appliances}.
• Extensive commodity experience
• Strong strategic sourcing skills with global sourcing experience.
• You are data savvy with strong proficiency in: Excel, Power BI, and Tableau
• Position has no direct reports

Must be willing to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities:

• Expand supplier base beyond China/ Taiwan - such as North America, India, Vietnam, Mexico, Eastern Europe, etc.,
• Lead projects involving new product engineers, demand planners, and others in procurement.
• Work closely with Product Development and Engineers in managing electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components - from RFQ - to award -to prototype- through serial production.
• Lead strategic sourcing, vendor development, pricing, and term negotiations.
