Summary:

The After-School Program Site Supervisor will play a vital role in providing support to the Multi-Site Coordinator and team members to deliver nutrition, enrichment, academic, and emotional support to youth.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with young people, strong leadership skills, and the ability to cultivate a safe and engaging learning environment.

Essential Job Duties:

Building Relationships:
Establish and maintain strong work relationships with the Multi-Site Coordinator, fellow site staff, school personnel, students, and families.

Compliance and Data Management:
Become proficient in DHHS/LARA requirements and ensure compliance with data collection.
Assist in collecting and maintaining Child Information Records (CIR).

Program Leadership:
Independently run activities in the classroom for at least half of the scheduled program time.
Provide leadership and oversee SEEDS support staff in the absence of the Multi-Site Coordinator, including emergency response management.

Documentation and Reporting:
Document child behavior and incidents as per LARA regulations.
Track and report required documentation to the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and SEEDS in a timely manner.
Manage EZ reports and input/update child attendance and activities.

Curriculum Implementation:

Prepare and conduct high-quality lessons aligned with grant objectives, utilizing available resources to provide academic and social enrichment to students.

Program Improvement and Quality Assurance:

Participate in the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) process and contribute to the development and fulfillment of site Program Improvement Goals (PIGs).

Other Duties:
Collaborate with other SEEDS team members as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
Attend regional and circle meetings as directed by the supervisor.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time.
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Navigate stairs regularly.
Stooping, kneeling, and picking up items from the floor.
Tolerate outdoor weather conditions for up to an hour.
Ability to hike on uneven terrain for up to 3 hours.
Hear and recognize sounds.
Run for short periods.
Easily get up and down off the floor.

Other Requirements:
Strong ability to connect with children.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Proficient in managing multiple deadlines.
Familiarity with online databases and communication platforms.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to comprehend DHHS/LARA program requirements.
Strong writing skills.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Pass all required background checks.
TB test required.
Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
Minimum of 1 year working with youth.
6 hours in child development or 15 CEUs in child care training.
400 hours working with school-aged children.
At least 18 years of age.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Position Information:
25-30 hours per week, part-time.
Typically Monday – Thursday, approximately 11:30 AM – 6:30 PM.
Occasional additional evening or weekend hours as needed.

Summer program work hours: 30 hours per week, late June to early August, Monday – Thursday, approximately 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
