    As the Senior Manager Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Sustainability you are accountable for managing the implementation and communication of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) master plan elements with a primary focus on process safety. In addition, you are responsible for supporting sustainability strategies.

    This role is based in Battle Creek, MI with hybrid options.

    • Be a Solutionist: Create new/simple solutions applying knowledge/expertise of best practices and make recommendations/presentations based on technical methodology.
    • Demonstrate Industry Expertise: Utilize your strong knowledge of EHS related Government and Industry standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ASTM, ANSI, IIAR). And provide EHS technical training, education and mentoring to other EHS functional team members or Supply Chain roles.
    • Display strong communication and relationship building skills: Provide formal and informal updates and performance status to Company Executives, Plants, Outside Associations and Government Personnel
    • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Provide direction and performance-based improvements to ensure the development, implementation and effectiveness of global auditing systems and programs. And support the creation, communication, execution and improvement of Sustainability strategies.

    YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

    • Good understanding of Sustainability, EHS systems and metrics, and the ability to operate across a large organization.
    • Bachelors degree and 3+ years experience
    • Certified Safety Professional certification or the ability to achieve
    • Prior experience in the development and building of Management Systems framework
