- Works with colleagues to help ensure that Information Security best-practices are identified and employed during development, testing, and deployment of new processes, applications, and systems.
- Assists in Conducting vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration tests. Communicates findings to IT leadership and works with IT and OT colleagues to identify, develop and deploy mitigation strategies, best-practices, and related controls within the respective functional areas that ensure identified risks are mitigated accordingly.
- Assists in the development, operation and maintenance of security processes, applications, and systems including SIEM, ID/PS, IAM, AV, EDR, etc. solutions to ensure enterprise system security and service continuity.
- Identifies and develops automated solutions within area of responsibility to streamline processes, minimize human generated errors, and increase overall departmental productivity.
- Actively participates in threat-intelligence and sector communities, shares approved IOCs and TTPs with community sharing partners.
- Uses internal and external threat-intelligence data to perform system configuration changes to firewalls, ID/PS, and related monitoring systems.
- When necessary assists in Digital Forensics and Incident Response processes.
- Contributes to the development of enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures by staying abreast of the changes in the information security landscape including best-practices, frameworks, and strategies.
- Assists in the development and presentation of user training.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Advanced knowledge of various Operating Systems (Windows, Linux/UNIX, MacOSX, Android, apple iOS, Cisco IOS and ASA.
- Advanced knowledge of Operational Technology Systems including PLCs, RTUs, Ladder Logic programming, and related technologies and protocols.
- Advanced scripting and automation in Powershell, bash, ruby, python, and associated technologies
- Configuration management and change-control processes
- Working knowledge of reverse-engineering and malware analysis.
- Must have strong oral and written communications skills and possess excellent active listening skills.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for helping to ensure that JAXPORT's IT and OT infrastructure security postures are maintained and evolve with emerging threats. This position must possess an appropriate level of both technical acumen and interpersonal skills. In addition to technical responsibilities, a key role of this position will be to collaborate with IT colleagues, end-users, and third-parties to ensure that security practices are effective, appropriate, and congruent with JAXPORT's risk tolerance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position does not supervise employees.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A Bachelors in Informatics, Computer Science, or Information Security from a regionally accredited College/University plus 3-5 years related experience fulfilling offensive and defensive security roles is preferred. At JAXPORT's discretion candidate may substitute 4 years of proven expertise in the Information Security field in lieu of a formal degree.
Technical Skill:
Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work to include domestic travel and jobsite visits.
