    Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

    Hours: 40 + hours a week (weekdays and weekends)


    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work, with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and high voltage systems.


    Responsibilities:

    • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
    • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.
    • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as motors, switches, and wiring.
    • Install new electrical systems and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects and tasks.
    • Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • Must possess good mathematical skills.
    • Must be able to assess a situation and come up with a solution under the guidance of the Supervisor.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Must have the strength and flexibility to perform the above-mentioned duties and be able to lift 75 lbs.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize under the guidance of the Supervisor.
    • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems.
    • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics.
    • Familiarity with high voltage systems (480V and above).
    • Experience working with logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
    • Ability to use power tools and other electrical testing devices effectively.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.

    Standard Requirements

    • Valid US issued driver's license with a good driving record.
    • Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required/assigned.
    • Ability to work safely in all types of weather.

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    • Ability to work independently and in a group - gets along well with others.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
