    Description
    Mainframe - Level Eng-II
    Phoenix, AZ (2-3 days in office)
    Length of Assignment: Till end of year + extension

    Job Summary:
    • Demonstrated experience with Agile or other rapid application development methods
    • Demonstrated experience leading teams of engineers (onshore and offshore)
    • Demonstrated experience with Mainframe - JCL, COBOL, DB2, IMS, Stored procs, MQ, SYNCSORT required; Easytrieve a plus
    • Should have good knowledge on CI/CD pipeline.
    • Owns all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications; Performs hands-on architecture, design, and development of systems
    • Manages and mentors teams of junior and senior engineers through ongoing sprints
    • Functions as a senior member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices tools and common components
    • Develops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
    • Works closely with product managers on blueprints
    • Typically spends 30-50% of time writing code and testing, and remainder of time managing team (code reviews etc) and stakeholders through ongoing product/platform release sprints
    Experience: 9+ yrs

    • Minimum 8+ years of software development experience in mainframe technologies

    Required Skills:
    1. Mainframe Utilities
    2. VSAM
    3. Cobol
    4. Java

    Roles & Responsibilities:
    • Ability to effectively communicate across third parties, technical, and business product managers on solution design
    • Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems
    • Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation
    • Associates will be working in a scrum team, should have knowledge & experience of agile/scrum/safe culture.
    • Associate would need to deal with clients therefore, good communication is essential.
    • Selected candidates will be responsible for developing full application & be able to test & deploy the code.
    Nice To Have Skills:
    • Experience with payments technology and industry is a plus
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred
    • Experience with web services and Open API development, as well as SOA concepts, is a plus
