Position Purpose:

The Wastewater Operations & Maintenance Technician I provide day-to-day monitoring at the wastewater treatment plant and (13) pump stations.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates equipment manually and through instrument panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units associated with wastewater facilities.
• Ability to utilize CMMS (Job Cal Plus) and HACH WIMS systems.
• Works safely in a team-oriented environment.
• Performs daily rounds, pump station checks and solids handling duties as necessary.
• Carries on-call cell phone every 6 weeks and is responsible for off hours emergency alarms.

Education/Experience/Background:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 - 3 years' experience in Wastewater Treatment preferred

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

• Must have the ability to obtain a MA Grade 3M Wastewater license within 12 months from date of hire.
• Valid Driver's License.
