    Department Overview:
    The Fire Fighter Partnerships business unit's mission is to develop direct relationships within its industry sector.

    As part of a team of high-performing subject matter experts, each member is responsible for leveraging knowledge in the role fundraising, sales, and marketing play in driving growth.

    The Fire Fighter Partnerships team will have ultimate accountability aligning internally and externally to build strategic large-scale programs and multi-million-dollar partners such as IAFF.

    The Fire Fighter Partnerships department is part of the Development Partnerships structure that is responsible for relationship management to retain donors and fiscal management to ensure best practices are employed to keep margins (net revenue after expenses) for all summative fundraising activities above 85%.


    Position Description:


    The Account Manager, Fire Fighter Partnership is responsible for identifying trends and opportunities with one of MDA's longest standing partners on the Fill the Boot Program to establish loyalty and revenue related commitments to the organization by leverage MDA's portfolio of mission and corporate based programs and platforms.

    The Account Manager, Fire Fighter Partnerships work alongside the Account Director, Fire Fighter Partnerships to achieve a targeted goal as it pertains to the designated fire departments within a specific district.

    Additionally, there may be other Account Managers assigned to the same district but will have different revenue targets and designated departments.

    The Account Manager, Fire Fighter Partnerships will have a targeted list of fire departments to acquire, expand and/or retain partnerships within your client base.

    This individual will need to demonstrate strong competencies in consultative selling and the ability to pitch, propose, negotiate, and close business opportunities.

    This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Fire Fighter Partnerships.

    What you'll do:


    Steward of the MDA brand and understanding that this individual is responsible for increasing brand awareness and MDA's valued reputation to build a strong network within your Industry and Client Base.

    Responsible for a Client account list of fire departments and established revenue goals to be met on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

    Collaborate within your business unit and internal stakeholders to develop a clearly defined strategic plan to leverage MDA's mission, programs, and services to meet or exceed established goals.

    Set expectations for regular and relevant communication with clients always prepared with pre-call sales strategy meetings with marketing to ensure the outreach (presentation, proposal, etc.) align with MDA expertise and Client objectives.

    Take a solution-based approach to developing longstanding relationships with careful consideration of our clients' interests representing MDA as a problem solver, idea generator and active listener.

    Explore innovative approaches to developing client opportunities and presenting ideas, proposal, programs in a way the differentiates MDA, keeping clients informed of MDAs progress in a way that is compelling and captures their interest.

    Responsible for the day-to-day management of all client-related activity including regular internal account reviews, client reviews, timely follow up and planning skills to maintain high level of account activity/presence.

    Diligent use of Salesforce to measure and monitor delivery to individual goals using clearly defined Key Performance Indicators.
    Quickly identify obstacles and propose mitigating forward-facing solutions.

    Salary Range:
    This position's salary range is

    $60,000 - $65,000 . Multiple factors, including your experience, determine final offer amounts and levels and may vary from the amounts listed above.

    Location:
    Remote work with up to 20% of travel. Targeting states of Texas & Oklahoma.

    What we are looking for:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
    3+ years of demonstrated successful business development and account management experience required.
    Familiarity with not-for-profit associations preferred.
    Experience with solutions selling and consultative sales approaches.

    Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills and political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships within all organizational levels and with outside constituencies.

    Strong skills to meet predetermined goals and objectives.
    Significant planning experience and ability to conceive, design, implement, evaluate, and manage account programs and strategies.
    Must be comfortable speaking at large gatherings to motivate and communicate MDA's mission.
    Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and marketing skills.
