- Assists in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budgets, reviews for accuracy
- Helps ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Evaluates expenses for FAR allowability. Stay informed on FAR regulations. Assist in annual FAR audit.
- Processes payroll including the journal entry to record the G/L.
- Prepares the 401K worksheet for Retirement Programs and compares the Fidelity trade confirmations to 401K deposits monthly.
- Stays informed about changes in payroll regulations and tax laws, ensuring compliance and recommending updates to payroll processes as necessary
- Aids in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Assists in analysis of financial information and provides timely feedback
- Assists with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assists Senior Project Accountant with monthly client invoicing
- Performs other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned

Description
JOB COMPLEXITY/SCOPE: This position handles various financial tasks within a company. They process financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping by reconciling accounts, and generate financial reports that summarize the company's financial health. Additionally, this position is responsible for preparing payroll and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Can perform most job functions independently. May provide guidance to less experienced individuals.
JOB DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree preferred.
•CPA or desire to obtain CPA preferred.
•2-4 years related experience preferred.
•Ability to use a computer, the Internet, and Microsoft Word, Unanet, Power Point, and Outlook.
•Must have expert level experience in Excel.
