    Role description:

    Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our Design and Engineering team in Washington State on a number of exciting projects.This is a client facing role with aptitude to grow business.

    As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will participate the mechanical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. You will support design efforts and assist the engineer of record. As a mechanical engineer you will also work with project teams, other senior and junior engineers, projects managers and clients designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems on various projects. This role is home based , however you need to attend client meetings as and when required.

    Role accountabilities:
    • Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost.
    • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits and collaboration with clients' team members.
    • Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, IECC, ANSI, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
    • Exposure to in design and modeling of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems using software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Trane Trace).
    • Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
    • Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
    • Perform various system studies (thermal comfort, indoor air quality, humidity control, energy management)
    • Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs
    • Provide mentoring to junior staff
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
    • 8 or more years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering
    • PE Registration

The salary range for this position is $112,240- $168,360.
