- Evaluate outcomes and modify plans as necessary
- Ensure patient safety and intervene when needed
- Organize work assignments based on patient acuity
- Demonstrate effective critical thinking skills
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Advocate for patient preferences and privacy
- Communicate patient data clearly and timely
- Assess and address patient and family learning needs
- Delegate and supervise patient care appropriately
- Participate in quality improvement projects
- Manage patient care efficiently
- Adhere to professional standards and evidence-based practice
- Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
- Promote a culture of safety in the workplace
- Report errors and unsafe situations
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current New York State license
- Membership in a professional organization is recommended
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice
- Sound clinical skills and positive communication
- Minimum of one year RN experience in Med/Surg
- New York State RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, PAL, and Stroke Certification required
